CTU’s Harshini Sobti bags Miss MePhobia title
CT University organises MePhobia Ludhiana, October 25, 2018: CT University welcomed new students by organizing a gala event titled “MePhobia”. More than 1200 students marked their presence and made the evening lighten up with starry shine in the open air theatre on the CTU premises. It was an evening filled with fun, excitement, dance, music and enthusiasm at its best. The event filled with fun and frolic was inaugurated by Parminder Kaur Channi, Co-Chairperson, Harpreet Singh, Vice Chairman, Seerat Singh and Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, Vice Chancellor. Welcoming students hailing from 19 states and 7 countries and promoting cultural harmony, the event witnessed varied performances including Ganesh Vandana, western dance, choreography, bhangra, giddha, malwai gidha, musical events and skits. The major highlight of the event was an imposing fashion show. Clearing the two rounds, the ‘Miss MePhobia’ title was lifted by Harshini Sobti and ‘Mr MePhobia’ by Husselmann Casey. Yashandeep Kaur bagged the title of Ms Charming and Jatin Sharma Mr Charming. Whereas, Sadina Pudasaini won the tag of Ms Elegant and Bakhtiyar Iqbal as Mr Elegant. Harpreet Singh, Vice Chairman, CTU expressed, “The evening was a splendid one. I am glad that the students prepared so well and I congratulate the winners of MePhobia.” Vice Chancellor, Dr Harsh Sadawarti, congratulated the winners and was impressed by the dynamism and energy that the students showcased. He admired the team work of students and faculty to make the evening a remarkable one.
