CT University organised cleanliness drive at Barnala City bus stand
Ludhiana, January 30, 2019: CT University, Frz Road, Ludhiana under Swachh Bharat Abhiyanorganized a cleanliness drive at Barnala City bus stand in association with some prominent schools of Barnala like Mother Teacher School (Aastha Enclave), Gurpreet Holy Heart Public School (Mahilkalan),Stanford International School (Chananwal) Paradise Academy (Hamidi) and Khalsa Physical Training Academy Barnala . The cleanliness Drive was organised by students of the School of Hotel Management & Catering Technology (CTU) and students of these schools of Barnala. Around 100 students, dressed in housekeeping uniforms and carrying cleaning kits participated in the drive. Students were provided with masks, gloves and a broom stick. They started the drive with scrubbers, cobweb cleaners and brooms and cleaned platforms of the bus stand. They also urged people to dispose of garbage in dustbins, which they installed on the platforms. Deputy Commissioner, Barnala Mr. Dharam Pal Gupta and EO Improvement Trust Barnala Mr Ravinder Kumar said, "Most people use buses to commute. Thousands of passengers travel in around 500 buses from the city bus stand every day. Many people frequent the bus stand, which should be kept clean. "Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, Vice-Chancellor, CT University said more such events would be organized in future. Next drive is held at Sangrur city bus stand.
