CT University introduces MOOC courses for students & faculty
Ludhiana, January 11, 2019: CT University (CTU) has introduced Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), free online courses available for students and faculty members. MOOCs provide an affordable and flexible way to learn new skills, advances the career of the students and to deliver quality Educational Experiences at larger Scale. NPTEL (National Programme for Technologically Enhanced Learning) is the key program which is being executed under MOOC. This is the Project funded by MHRD, Govt of India that emphasis on 3A’s i.e., Anyone, Anytime and Anywhere. In this E-Learning Platform, all the technological courses are taught by various IITians. 82 Faculty members have already enrolled and started their courses. CTU is also the prominent and the active member of IIT Bombay Spoken Tutorial to have an initiative of ‘Talk to Teacher’ and has conducted the workshops and the online testing of approximately 500 students in this semester. Furthermore, another important e-Platform and a National Level Programme Internshala is helping to provide the Summer and the Winter Trainings to our students in the form of Internships. More than 800 students of CTU have already been registered in Internshala. Vice Chancellor, Dr Harsh Sadawarti said, “MOOCs allow for dynamic development of study material. With such, students and faculty can have conventional approach where the courses are well-structured with pre-selected reading and reference materials.”
