Ludhiana, July 29, 2019: CT University (CTU) has successfully inaugurated its Robotics Lab under the presence of Managing Director Manbir Singh and Vice Chancellor Dr Harsh Sadawarti.

The Robotics Lab is equipped with all the latest electronics, electrical and mechanical devices that allow students to work on any project. The student can work for 24 hours and seven days.

Elaborating about the lab, Dr Harmeet Singh, Assistant Professor said, "The main attraction is the work station (table) that has the inbuilt projector that can be connected to any computer through a wi-fi connection and can be controlled on the table through wireless keyboard. The main aim is that, student can see the 3D drawing on the surface of the table and on the same time can work on the projects."

There are different sections for different components. The control section consists of all the controllers and drivers. The lab has the facility of 3D printer which will help the student to convert their ideas into prototype immediately.

The earlier projects completed by students and faculty under Robotics were Smart Shoes, Smart T-Shirt, Smart Scarecrow and Moisture Sensing Robot.

Manbir Singh, Managing Director and Vice Chancellor Dr. Harsh Sadawarti congratulated the students and faculty for this successful start-up.

The future projects of the robotic lab are Prosthesis hand, 3D printed robotic Arm and PCB printing machine.
