CT University hosts state level scientific project contest INSPIRE

Ludhiana, February 9, 2019: CT University hosted a state level scientific project competition wherein as many as 78 school students hailing from 20 different districts of Punjab showcased their innovative scientific projects including maths, science, ecology and engineering principles. The programme was held at University campus under INSPIRE programme implemented by District Education Office. Welcoming the students, guests and others from various schools, CT University Managing Director Manbir Singh lauded the efforts put in by the young innovative minds and described them as future scientific leaders. In his inaugural remarks, Dr. Hardev Chaudhary from Ahmadabad, representing the National Innovation Foundation said that the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India is successfully implementing Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE) scheme to motivate students to pursue science and a career in research. District Science Supervisor, Balwinder Kaur shared that INSPIRE Award- MANAK (Million Minds Augmenting National Aspiration and Knowledge) is a great motivation to young students as it aligns them with the Start-Up India initiative launched by PM of India. The showcased projects were witnessed by DEO Ludhiana, Swaranjit Kaur and officials of CT University. The winning entries were later felicitated. Chancellor Charanjit S Channi said that the time demands one to Innovate or Evaporate and university also always encourage thought process in youth.
