CT University establishes incubation centre, develops 3D NEST printer

Ludhiana, July 21, 2018: CT University has established an Incubation centre under the flagship of Research and Innovation Centre for Excellence (RICE). The incubation centre will provide an environment for start-ups to develop and provide services such as management training and space for office. The new venture will help in managing all operational activities related to incubate companies and Centre like Program development, Liaison & Promotion, Technology Transfer and Administration. The incubation centre will help in consultancy for a new company start up.
Mr. Jaspreet Singh from Research and Development has developed a 3D printer under this incubation centre. The 3D NEST printer develops working prototype models with the deposition of minimum 10 microns layer. The project will prove to be of a great help for Industries, Medical Arena and Mechanical Industries. Jaspreet Singh from Research and Development, the man behind the 3D printer said, “I am thankful to the management of CT University especially Dr Harsh Sadawarti for encouraging me to develop this in the campus of CTU and providing me resources for this project. The project will move parallel with the latest technology and is an apt creator of rapid prototyping. The cost of this project is very economical as well.”
The 3D NEST printer will be of a great help for the handicapped as from 3D printer prosthetic organs can be created. The toys formed by 3D printer are eco-friendly as well, if a child puts it in mouth, these aren’t hazardous at all.
Pro Vice Chancellor, Dr Harsh Sadawarti said, “CTU is a reached focused university where almost every day a new thought process is brought into action. In the current scenario, 3D printing process has been used in manufacturing, medical, industry and socio-cultural sectors which facilitate 3D printing to become successful commercial technology.”
