CT Swimmers bring accolades to CT Public School

Rehat Batth bagged a gold medal in 200 metres with a time span of 3.36 seconds
Jalandhar, September 20, 2017: The Swimming team won laurels for CT Public School with its exemplary performance in the North Zone II Championship held at Montessori Cambridge School, Pathankot.
The Chief Guest on the occasion was Mr.Amit Vij (MLA, Pathankot). Mr.Vikas Chadha (Sports Incharge, CT Public School) was also present as CBSE Observer.
A team of six students participated in the competition in which more than 100 schools from North Zone II participated. Rehat Batth bagged a gold medal in 200 metres with a time span of 3.36 seconds. She also attracted the audience by attaining the first position in the 50 metres butterfly stroke and a bronze medal in 50 metres back stroke in 44 and 47.28 seconds respectively.
In the under-14 category, Gurnoor Kaur secured a silver medal in 100 metres in 1:33:15 seconds. She was also successful in acquiring a gold medal in 50 metres breast stroke in 41:94 seconds and a bronze medal in 100 metres butterfly stroke in just 1:29 seconds.
Mrs. Suman Rana (Principal, CT Public School) applauded the commendable performance of the swimming team and coach and blessed them for their future ventures. She appreciated Mr. Sunil Kumar (Swimming Coach) for providing best of the training to the students.
S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group) said that as the sports activities are losing their significance as the electronic goods are creeping into the Indian society due to the dawn of globalization and it is the responsibility of the young generation to restore it. He said, “It is a matter of pride & happiness to see the school students performing the swimming tricks of professional level. We always motivate students to take part enthusiastically in sports activities for overall growth.”
