CT Public School holds health session on menstruation hygiene
NGO Swaraj donates sanitary napkin vending machine to school Jalandhar, June 7, 2019: A health education session on Menstruation Hygiene was conducted by experts from Swaraj-A-Mirage NGO along with Jalandhar Academy of Pediatrics at CT Public School. In this, experts namely Dr. Jatinder, President, JAP, Dr. Surjit, Pediatrician and Kritika, Instructor of Swaraj were the key speakers. Resource speakers raised awareness towards the biological process among girls, how they can keep themselves clean while on periods, do's and don'ts while discarding sanitary napkin and how to develop a positive attitude towards the same. Dr. Surjit Kaur guided students to keep themselves clean while changing sanitary pads timely during their periods and also gave helpful tips to be followed. On the behalf of Swaraj-A-Mirage, Kritika Budhiraja donated Sanitary Napkin Vending Machine for the girl students of the school from where they can easily get sanitary napkin whenever required. Parminder Kaur Channi, Co-Chairperson, CT Group during the session said that it is very necessary to talk about menstruation comfortably and sanitary napkin vending machine in school will help girl students to easily get a pad during emergency so that they can use and change pad for a good hygiene. Daljeet Rana, Principal, CT Public School and Vice Principal Sukhdeep Kaur were also present along with staff members.
