Jalandhar, June 5, 2017: CT Public School took up an initiative to safeguard the environment by observing World Environment Day with its students on Monday.
The students made posters portraying the world they live in and the bounties enjoyed by them. They encouraged people to make their nearby surroundings safe and clean to enjoy safer, cleaner and a more prosperous future. They also cautioned the people about the hazardous effects of environment degradation and gave suggestions on how to conserve the nature.
Mrs. Suman Rana (Principal, CT Public School) said that it is widely recognized that people depend on the natural environment for a variety of benefits to their well being. These dependencies encompass access to a range of ecosystem services, from utilizing basic resources for living - clean water, food, fertile soil- to interactions with nature that affirm and enrich our place in the world - places to recreate, play and take wonder in life.
Mr. Manbir Singh (Managing Director, CT Group) sensitized the status of the current environmental crisis and on the linkages which connect human action to the deterioration of the earth. Highlighting the fact that ignorant human action has paved way for the piteous state of the earth, therefore it’s important that human action is revisited and we as a race adopt the mantra of 3 essential R’s – Reduce, Reuse and Recycle, to save earth. He said, “It has found that during constructions the deforestation used to happen to make clear roads. This leads to pollution, besides we should plant more and more trees and encourage others towards plantation.”
