Jalandhar, November 6, 2014: CT Institute of Engineering, Management & Technology bagged the Runners-up trophy of PTU Inter Zonal Youth Fest concluded on Thursday, was hosted by CT Group of Institutions at its Shahpur Campus. The overall trophy of the youth fest was won by BBSBEC, Fatehgarh Sahib. The points of CTIEMT teams got 63 and BBSBEC, Fatehgarh Sahib earn 74 points to won the title trophy.
The concluding day witnessed the extraordinary performances in Western Solo, Western Group Song, Giddha, International Group Dance and the final prize distribution function of the youth fest.
Classical Dance, International group dance & Indian folk dance were also presented as Exhibition items by the students of CT Group of Institutions. The concluding day of the Youth Festival at CT Group of Institutions started with a colourful Giddha performance. Dr. Rajneesh Arora, Vice Chancellor, Punjab Technical University (PTU) was the chief guest for the day. He appreciated PTU and CT Group of Institutions for organising the youth festival successfully. He congratulated the management of CT Group of Institutions and its management for providing assistance to PTU to host this mega event on their campus.
In his address, Dr. Arora said participation by the students in such youth festivals is very important and students must participate in extra-curricular activities as it provided a proper platform to showcase their talent.
Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions), Manbir Singh (Managing Director, CT Group of Institutions), Dr. Manoj Kumar (Group Director, CT Institutions) and Harpreet Singh (Vice Chairman, CT Group of Institutions) felicitated Dr. Rajneesh Arora, Vice Chancellor, PTU and other dignitaries for gracing the event with their presence. Other dignitaries including Dr. Rajneesh Sachdeva (Registrar) PTU, Dr. S.M. Kant (Advisor, Youth and Cultural Affairs, PTU) and Dr. M.S. Grewal (Principal, SUSCET) appreciated the efforts of CT Group of Institutions in organizing were also present at the concluding day event.
Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman, CT Group of Institutions thanked the participating colleges across the Punjab. He also expressed his good wishes to all winning teams and inspires them to learn and achieve more.
