World Habitat Day being celebrated at CT Group of Institutions, Jalandhar. 

Jalandhar, October 5, 2015: CT Institute of Architecture and Planning under the flagship of CT Group of Institutions celebrated World Habitat Day at its Shahpur campus on Monday.
The event was inaugurated by S.Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions) and Dr.R.P.Singh (Chairman, IE(I)) in the presence of Er. Arvind Dhingra (Honorary Secretary, Institution of Engineers (IE(I)), Er. Nalin Tayal (Member State Council, IE(I)), Ar. Jaswinderjit Singh (Chairman, Indian Institute of Architecture (IIA)) and members of the management and faculty.
S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions) informed that the purpose of World Habitat Day is to reflect on the state of our towns and cities, and on the basic right of all to have adequate shelter. It is also intended to remind the world that we all have the power and the responsibility to shape the future of our cities and towns.
Dr. R.P. Singh (Chairman, IE(I)) said that the new theme chosen ensure the aggregate change for today’s generation. It needs big answer for every solution, discussed about disparity. He discussed about poverty in Indian states because of men dominance & poverty communist. He said that the civilization on global way should move out of small things and work together for the development of nation.
The dignitaries showcased their concerned over the utilization of public space. They said that everyone wants to use it but not much interested to maintain it, until or unless we have equal interest in public.
The students of Architecture also displayed their artistic skills. An exhibition was also organized displaying the paintings and art work of the students.
