International Burger Day being celebrated by CT Group of Institutions at Jalandhar.
Jalandhar, August 28, 2015: For a burger blogger everyday is celebration of burgers, but International Burger Day brings a nation together over everyone's favourite comfort food. CT Group of Institutions celebrated the day at its Shahpur Campus on Friday to promote good health.
The students of CT Institute of Hotel Management (CTIHM) prepared wheat burgers weighing 1kg and various burgers of normal size. The ingredients included veggies (cucumber, Tomatoes, Lettuce, Cabbage, Onion, Bell paper, Capsicum, Olives), Aloo Tikki and others. There were variety of burgers included Burger with Cheese, Chicken Burger, Chilly Chicken Burger, Malai Tikka Burger pairing with Mayonnaise, Cheese, Barbeque, Tomoto and butter sauce.
Dr. Rohit Sarin (Director, CTIHM) said, “We believe in celebrating every day that deals with food and food bloggers. Such celebrations provide us an opportunity to involve our students in sharpening their hospitality and catering skills.” He said, “In this particular event, students prepared more than 10 burgers with different ingredients and sauces.”
Mr. Manbir Singh (Managing Director, CT Group of Institutions) appreciated the efforts of CTIHM students. He said, “The commemoration of such days raise the message of brotherhood, partying and spending time with our friends and family. Such celebrations keep people close knitted.”
