Jalandhar, March 21, 2015: The students were awarded degrees in the convocation held at Guru Nanak Dev University College, Jalandhar on Saturday. Dean Student Welfare, GNDU Amritsar, Dr. Amarjit Singh Sidhu, was the chief guest and he was formally welcomed by Dr. Jaspal Singh Randhawa (Principal, GNDU College, Jalandhar).

C. K. Mahajan, Associate Professor, Department of Commerce presented the welcome note to the worthy guests. The convocation started with the recitation of Shabad. As many as 200 degrees in various disciplines, including MBA (TYC), MBA (FYIC), MCA (TYC) , MCA (FYIC),B.B.A and B.C.A of the sessions 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 were awarded by the chief guest.

While delivering his convocation address, Dr. congratulated th students foe their achievements and wished them success in future. He quoted many examples to motivate the students. He said, “The silence of the good people is more harmful than the bad deeds of bad people.”

While addressing the students, Dr. Jaspal Singh Randhawa said that Students in this competitive age must focus on enhancing their capabilities through commitment and hard work. He suggested the students to be controversial so that many questions may arise and many answers may be given. This shows the flow of the progression in a person.

M. J. Kalra, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Commerce, extended the vote of thanks to the worthy guests and audience. The programme concluded with the recitation of National Anthem.
