Dharamshala, September 18, 2019: Senior Congress leader and ex-minister in Himachal Sudhir Sharma said in Dharamshala today, that the BJP workers and a senior BJP leader have levied several charges on BJP Ministers and senior leaders of the state in a letter, which is now viral in social media.
He said that instead on investigating about the charges the Jai Ram government in Himachal Pradesh is acting against the persons who raised the objections. The charges made in the said letter are of serious nature.
Sudhir Sharma was speaking after submitting the demand letter to Governor HP through Deputy Commissioner Kangra at Dharamshala. He said, “We demand that the investigation of these charges be done by CBI as we don’t have faith on state agencies, as the charges are on the high level people in the state government. It is indicated in the letter that there are irregularities in purchase of items in many departments.”
He said, “A fabricated and wrong statement for state Congress President was published in media on my name, which I never said, whereas I want that permanent state presidents for NSUI and Youth Congress should be appointed soon.”
He said that Congress is fully prepared and ready to face byelection in Dharamshala. “Congress will come back with a bang in this election”, he said. The seat was vacated as BJP MLA Kishan Kapoor elected MP in 2019 general elections.
Earlier, Dharamshala Congress staged a rally from Kotwali Bazar to DC office before submitting the demand letter.
