Chandigarh, November 17, 2012: Sukhbir Singh Badal, Punjab Deputy Chief Minister expressed shock at the demise of Shiv Sena Chief Bal Thackeray, who died in Mumbai today after a prolonged illness.
In a condolence message, Badal said that in the death of Bal Thackeray, the nation has lost a leader, whose contribution in giving distinct identities to regional parties would be remembered by all. He said that Thackeray inculcated a sense of patriotism amongst our youth by communicating with them in their dialect.
Sharing heartfelt sympathies with Udhav Thackeray and other members of bereaved family, Mr. Badal prayed to the Almighty to give peace to the departed soul and strength to them to bear this irreparable loss.
