CONCERN: No services by government for development in border areas

Ferozepur, January 11, 2013:  To honour the families of eye donation on the death of a family member, a joint function was organised by Helping Hands Foundation, Bharat Vikash Parishad and Municipal Council, Ferozepur, in Town Hall in which Padmshree Vijay Chopra was the chief guest.

During the course of his address, Vijay Chopra said, the governments are doing nothing for the development of border areas.  Appreciating the movement of eye donations by the NGOs, he said, eye donation is above all other donations as in this donation, the man after his death is even useful for others to bring light in the darkness.  

Abhishek Arora, President, Helping Hands Foundation in his address conferred Vijay Chopra as Bheesham Pitamah of Social Service. 

D. P. Chandan in his address recognising the sacrifice of the family of Vijay Chopra  said,  the family of Punjab Kesari has always stood by the Indians and ever ready in the service of nation in the event of any natural calamity like floods, earth quakes or terrorism.

Ashwani Grover, President, Municipal Council, Ferozepur appealed to Vijay Chopra to pass on the miserable  condition of this border town Ferozepur through his words to the government.

The families of late Bimla Devi, Hakim Lal Chand, Pyare Lal Bajaj, Satya Narayan Garg and Ram Pyari, whose eyes were donated, were honoured by Vijay Chopra, chief guest of the function.  The members of NGOs were also honoured on this in recognition of their services to the society.
