COMPLAINT: Illegal construction of shops in Aggar Nagar (A-Block)

Ludhiana, November 23, 2012: In a representation to Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana, the Aggar Nagar Welfare Society (Ludhiana) has apprised him about alleged unauthorised and illegal construction of shops in Aggar Nagar (A-Block).

The representation has been signed by the Aggar Nagar Welfare Society vice president Bimal Kumar Jain, general secretary Mohinder Aggarwal and secretary Shiv Mittal.

Signatories to the representation have alleged that the Managing Committee of the Ludhiana Aggarwala Cooperative House Building Society Limited is converting green land/parks into commercial shops.

They further alleged that some of the shops are ready facing main Ferozepur road fitted with shutters. They said the remaining shops land is being kept ready with pillars erected in the wall.

It has been alleged that the entire proposal has been planned in a very secret manner. They said this has been done without requesting to make changes in CLU.

Signatories have sought that the alleged illegal action of the society be stopped immediately.

Mohinder Aggarwal told today that the copies of the complaint have also been sent to Principal Secretary, Local Government, Punjab, Administrator, GLADA and Deputy Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Ludhiana. He said the Municipal Commissioner has marked their complaint to Assistant Town Planner for necessary action.
