COMBINED ANNUAL TRAINING CAMP CONDUCTED BY 2 PUNJAB GIRLS BATTALION NCC

Jalandhar, January 18, 2017: A ten days Combined Annual Training Camp of 2 Punjab Girls Battalion NCC was conducted at Lovely Professional University Phagwara from 09 Jan to 18 Jan 2017. The camp was attended by 224 NCC cadets who belong to different Colleges and School of Doaba region along with cadets of other units of Jalandhar Group.

On 09 Jan 2017 Col Atul Shah, Camp Commandant in his opening address highlighted the importance of unity and discipline which is the motto of NCC. He also motivated the cadets to become better citizen and exhorted them to join Armed forces to serve the mother nation. Competition between the cadets were conducted and they were awarded with medals and trophies.

The cadets were imparted special training in self defence from the experts specially engaged for this activity. Col Atul Shah, Camp Commandant gave an inspirational talk on the topic ‘How to make Digital Payments’. The topic was made extremely interesting by using multi media and cadets were very keen to learn the topic.

The Training is being imparted in handling, firing of weapons, drill, signals, map reading, first aid, home nursing, national integration, civil defence, ecology, leadership. The aim is to give experience in team work, to generate value of self discipline and integrity to cultivate the art of leadership. Finally to make cadets understand their responsibility towards the society and nation.
