The Colours of Navarasa

Jalandhar, November 30, 2018: The aim of education at Ivy is much wider, more exclusive and much beyond the existential framework of ‘Learning by emotions’. It aims at creating humane individuals. This came across clearly during the Zephyr 6 theme of 9 Emotions as Ivyians celebrated their 6th Founder’s Day. Navarasa is an expression of an emotion conveyed by an artist in Indian Art & Culture the show was an amalgamation of a colorful variety of performances by our budding talents. The programme commenced with the lighting of the Ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest Mr.Gurpreet Singh Bhullar, Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar and Mr.Lok Nath Angra – Member of Punjab Public Service Commission escorted by the other dignitaries and the Principal. The individual performances were beautifully displayed through musical, chorographical and acting excellence of the tiny tots.
The dazzling display of dances by children with perfect steps to the tune and rhythm kept the audience’s attention glued to the stage. It was a delight to see Beginners performing Circus, a glimpse of the devil by KG 1 & an energetic performance of the dance forms of a Butterfly as well as the Holi Leela by KG 2. Various aspects of being a child were highlighted which led to moments of introspection. ‘Be the Change’ through a mesmerizing labor dance and a masterpiece of Patriotic performance by the Grade 1 Ivyians. The Mischief of Tandav by young Ivyians, the yearning of prayer dance the composed nature of young choristers were showcased. The theme of Emotions highlighted the feelings of hope, belief and opportunity for children.
It was an evening that made the audience nostalgic. They walked down the memory lane with a sense of utter bliss and the glow of accomplishment. Each child was a ‘Rockstar’ and captivated the audience with their stellar performance.
