CME “Nephrology Update-2019” on March 9
Ludhiana, March 5, 2019: Aykai Hospital in collaboration with Fresenius Medical Care and Punjab Nephrology Society will hold a CME “Nephrology Update-2019” at Hotel Park Plaza Ludhiana on 9th March 2019 to discuss latest advancement in the field of kidney diseases and transplantation. Dr Baldev Singh Aulakh, Director Urology & Transplant Surgery at Aykai Hospital told that eminent senior nephrology experts will deliver lectures on the new developments in various fields of nephrology and renal transplantation. The faculty includes: Prof. Vivekanand Jha- the president of International Society of Nephrology, Prof. O P Kalra, Vice Chancellor of Pt. Bhagwant Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak, Prof. Ashwani Gupta from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi, Prof. (General) AS Narula and (General) PP Varma, formerly HODs at Military Hospital (R&R) New Delhi and Dr Raja Ramachandran from PGI Chandigarh. Dr. J.S. Sandhu, Director Nephrology at Aykai Hospital told that nephrologists, physicians and urologists from the state of Punjab, Chandigarh and J&K will attend the CME. This CME will be inaugurated by Professor Vivekanand Jha, the President of International Society of Nephrology. Professor V Jha is the first Indian to rise to this prestigious post after a long distinguished period at PGI. On the same day, he will also inaugurate Haemodialysis Unit at Aykai Hospital. This dialysis unit at Aykai Hospital is equipped with state of art dialysis machines of Fresenius 4008S and 5008S series. The RO system is among the best in the world. While 4008S dialysis machines provide cost effective advanced treatment to the patients, the 5008S machines provide high volume HDF, a simple and reliable haemodialysis technique that is considered to be cardio-protective.
