CMCH musical show to raise funds for needy

Ludhiana, March 20, 2013: A Broadway Musical, Family Style “The Addams Family” was organised as the 18th Production of the Music and Theatre workshop by Christian Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) at Guru Nanak Dev Bhawan here on Wednesday.

Around 110 students from CMCH have been participating for the musical in various capacities for the last two months in addition to their regular classes and hospital duties. As has been done previous years; the proceeds from the musical will go towards the treatment of poor patients.

The musical is organised by students and doctors of the college: With Maria Jacob (4th year MBBS student) as the director of the play, Dr. Jerin Kuruvlia (Medical Intern)  as the music director and the production being jointly managed by the Dr. Sajin Sunny Mathew and Angelo Christopher(4th Year Student).

The Music and Theatre workshop under the patronage of our director, Dr. Abraham G Thomas, is a means of raising funds for financial aid of poor patients. Dr. Nitin Batra Deputy Medical Superintendent has been the faculty advisor for this year’s musical and has been faculty advisor

With a demanding script, dazzling stage settings, enchanting melodies and special effects, this highly innovative production is a must see for all. Come meet the “Addams Family” here at Guru Nanak Bhawan on March 21 and 22.
