CMCH holds annual sports day

Ludhiana, March 7, 2014: Christian Medical College and Hospital (CMCH), Ludhiana organised its 29th annual sports day at its premises with pomp and show on Friday, which was declared open by the chief guest Kuldeep Singh,  ACA , GLADA. He took the salute of the participating contingents consisting of participants.
Students of Medical College, Dental College, College of Physiotherapy, College of Nursing, Allied health services, Doctors and Staff members presented a march past.
The event kicked off with the assembly of athletes and an oath taking ceremony by participants. Later students and staff members participated in events like 100 meter, 200 meter and 400 meter race, and long jump, high jump, discus throw, shot put relay and shot put, at the annual athletics.
Congratulating and boosting all the participants Director, Dr. A.G. Thomas said,” The participating students should come out with new records so as to cross hitherto kept standardized sports. The first event of the day was 100 meters races for boys, girls, staff men and women separately.”
Associate Director Dr.Kim Mammen, Principal Medical College Dr.S.M Bhatti, Principal Dental College Dr.Abi M.Thomas were also present on the ceremony.
Result for the first Day: 100 meters (Girls) Jannet from Christian Medical College 1, Tanu from Christian Dental College 2, and Anjana from College of Nursing 3. 100 meters (Boys) Abhishek Thomas, College of Nursing 1, Anupam from Christian Medical College 2 and Suramya Rajan Kumar from Christian Dental College 3.
In Long Jump (Staff Men): Sandeep from Cardio department 1st, Brijesh (Pharmacology) 2nd Place and Sunny from Pharmacy 3rd place. Long Jump (Staff Women): Dr.Rinchu Loomba 1st, Janifer, Staff from College of Nursing 2nd and Tanu from Phiso 3rd.
