CMC Ludhiana organises week-long marathon of workshops

Ludhiana, September 2, 2019: CMC Ludhiana organised a week-long marathon of workshops to train postgraduate students in the art of research and thesis writing in collaboration with ICMR-Institute of Applied Statistics.
Starting from the 26th of August, postgraduate students from various streams of medicine and surgery attended a two day workshop for first, second and third year of training.
Esteemed faculty from ICMR included the national co-ordinator, Dr Shubham Pandey and senior faculties Dr Shraddha Dwivedi and Dr Manushi Shrivastava.
While the first year students interacted on various aspects of research such as how to select a topic and write protocols the second and third year students discussed various matters related to their ongoing thesis and presentation of data. Introducing the workshops, Dr Jeyaraj Pandian, Principal of CMCL encouraged students to maintain a high standard of ethics in research being conducted at CMC Ludhiana.
Dr Monika Sharma (Vice-Principal, Research) mentioned that since the MCI-BOG had made online research training compulsory for postgraduates, these workshops will complement online training.
