10 new HRTC buses for Rohru, Volvo service to New Delhi; Complete developmental work with in stipulated time: CM
Shimla, June 2, 2017: Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh laid foundation stones of developmental works worth Rs.10.24 crore in Rohru constituency of Shimla today.
Addressing a public meeting at Kutara and Bachhoonch, he said that all developmental works will be completed in stipulated time so that optimum benefit could be ensured to public.
He said the Rohru valley is full of natural beauty and splendor in every part of the area. Basic infrastructure will be strengthened in the valley in such a way that flow of tourists increased to the interiors of Rohru. 10 new buses will be plied in the interior parts of the constituency. In addition to this luxury Volvo service will be started from Rohru to New Delhi by HRTC.
He said that a new water supply scheme worth Rs. 4 crore had been commenced in Rohru area which will benefit 25 villages on completion of the constituency covering a population of 5,000 persons.
He laid foundation stone of Veterinary Hospital at Kutara to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 57.59 lakh.
Chief Minister laid foundation stones of LWSS Gawna to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 1.36 crore, LWSS Kandrora/Khangteri to cost Rs. 89 lakh, Government Senior Secondary School building, Bhaloon to cost Rs.1.07 crore and Foundation stone of LWSS Bhamnoli to cost Rs. 1.75 crore.
He laid foundation stone of Sports Hostel (Boys) of Government Senior Secondary School Gangtoli to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 2.66 crore and foundation stone of Hostel of Government Girls Polytechnic College, Rohru to be competed with an outlay of Rs. 1.94 crore.

On the way to Rohru from Kutara large number of people at Gavna, Noi, Darkot, Jhaltu, Khudsu, Karalash and Brasali welcomed the Chief Minister and presented before him the demands of their respective areas.
Chief Minister asked the Officer of I&PH to ensure proper functioning of the drinking water supply schemes. He said stern action will be taken against officials of I&PH Department for any kind of lapse in functioning of drinking water supply schemes in the State. He said that government had provided adequate funds and sufficient budge for proper functioning of watery supply schemes.
Local MLA, Shri M.L. Brakta said tremendous developmental works had taken place in Rohru constituency in the present tenure of Congress government.
Transport & Tourism Minister Shri G.S. Bali, Rohru Congress President Shri Ishwar Dass Chhoharu were also present on the occasion.
