Shimla, March 25, 2016: Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh today laid foundations stones and inaugurated developmental projects worth Rs. 97crore in Baddi-Barotiwala areas of Doon assembly constituency in Solan district.
He inaugurated 220 KV sub-station in village Kulhariwala (Mandhala) completed with a cost of Rs. 45 crore which would strengthen the transmission and distribution to industrial Baddi-Barotiwala corridor and would also benefit Kalujhanda and Mandhala Panchayats. As many as 1.10 lakh people of 13 villages and the residents of Parwanoo would be benefitted with this sub-station.
The Chief Minister inaugurated Baddi Trade Centre completed with an outlay of Rs 13 crore, lift drinking water supply scheme Bhatoli Kalan constructed at a cost of Rs 1.87 crore, which would cater to the needs of more than 10,000 persons of villages.
He inaugurated 66 KV sub-station at Bhatoli Kalan completed with an outlay of Rs. 10.65 crore. This would not only minimise the transmission and distribution losses but would also benefit 10 villages of Bhatolikalan and Sauri panchayats, besides few areas of Barotiwala.
Shri Virbhadra Singh also inaugurated the building of government high school Haripur Sandholi which has been constructed at a cost of Rs 62 lakh.
He laid foundation stones of helipad at Barotiwala ( Buranwala) to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 1.25 crore, lift drinking water supply scheme Kaintha Chadiyar at Kuranwala to cost Rs.2.75 crore, government college Barotiwala to cost Rs 12.28crore and nine tube wells in the area with an outlay of Rs 5.84 crore which would be installed at Sandholi, Tahliwala, Kishanpura, Sandholi Nichali, Kalyanpur Chak, Kallaranwala, Haripur Sandholi, Majri and village Kasambowal.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated lift water supply scheme Kishanpura- Hariraipur to be completed by spending Rs 2.12 crore to cover a population of 14637 persons of six villages. The total cost of total schemes of IPH inaugurated and foundation stones of which had been laid amounts to Rs. 12.53 crore which would benefit population of around 27557. He also laid foundation stone of a road named after former MLA Chaudhary Lajja Ram to cost Rs 1.40 crore.
