CM announced slew of incentives for people of Meham

Chandigarh, November 12- Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal announced a slew of incentives for the people of Meham during his first visit to the area. The Chief Minister announced a HUDA sector and construction of affordable houses for the people of the area under Affordable Housing Scheme of the State Government.

Mr. Manohar Lal was speaking in a function organized by Vishwakarma Sabha Haryana on the occasion of Vishwakarma Diwas at Meham district Rothak today.

He said HUDA sector would be developed at Meham and as per the demand of the people of the area, four storey houses would be constructed under Affordable Housing Scheme at a rate of Rs 1500 to Rs 2000 per square feet. He said that the State Government has a target of construction of one lakh affordable houses in Haryana by 2022.

He said that the crop rates depend on international markets. However, the State government would not hesitate to give Minimum Support Price to the farmers for their crops.  It is for the first time that State Government after the approval of Central government has procured PUSA 1509 variety of paddy.

He announced to make the roads pucca  which included from Bhiwani road  to Agersen road upto Bus Stand, Rajiv Chowk to Kathmandi upto Jhajjar Road and Imligarh Water Works upto Bhiwani road. He assured to soon provide cardiology machine and doctor at Meham Hospital and also announced a veterinary hospital.  He announced construction of a shed and boundary wall on the land donated for Gaushala. He assured the Kumhar Samaj to provide land from Panchayati land for making earthen utensils.  He announced to give Rs 31 lakh for Vishwakarma Dharmashala and Rs five lakh each to seven other Dharamshalas.

Regarding the demand of people of the area to setup Girls College, he said that there is no problem for the construction of college, but shortage of teachers in the colleges is a matter of concern.  He said that only meritorious candidates would be selected for government jobs.

He said that Rohtak – Meham – Hansi railway line was announced and even foundation stone was laid, but no further work was carried out on it. It is fortunate that Railway Minister hails from Haryana who has adopted Nindana of Meham and a sum of Rs 50 crore has been earmarked for its development. He said that the matter of Rohtak – Meham – Hansi railway line has been discussed with Railway Minister who has assured that the work on this line would surely be completed./ (SK Vyas, Jalandhar)
