Closing ceremony of DCM MUN 2019
The ceremony was marked with resolutions by all delegates
Ludhiana, July 21, 2019: The closing ceremony that was set to conclude the successful three-day DCM-MUN-19 Youth Conference took place on Sunday, 21 July 2019 at DCM Presidency School, Ludhiana.
Vital issues were addressed with the fact that the adversities we face today with the global surge of intolerance around the world and the harsh reality that stands in the face of MUN changing the world. The ceremony was marked with resolutions by all delegates who pressed upon the implementation of core MUN values and procedure preceded by a resolution adoption session for all committees. It is noteworthy that all committees of the delegates DCM-MUN Youth Conference 2019 had passed their resolutions with consensus. At this conference, the best part was, the students learned about the importance of coming together to achieve a common goal in the true spirit of the Model United Nations.
The CEO of DCM Group of Schools who had kept a close quarter over the whole conference stated, “I most enjoyed and appreciated the enthusiasm of the student leaders” and “I liked that they made the situations seem real, which made it more fun. I admire the creativity it took to have us work on fictional situations which symbolized real life problems.”
The DCM- MUN team members modeled the importance of diplomacy creating an atmosphere not of individual competition, but of group understanding and overall improvement. After much hard work and dedication, DCM-MUN’19 was an immense success.
The 3-day DCM-MUN – Conference culminated with a brief cultural program put up by the school students. The Principal, Ms. Rajni Kalra, presided over the valedictory session and the closing ceremony.
