City’s leading industrialist Sanjiv Arora receives State Award from Punjab CM at state-level function of I-Day
Awarded for services rendered by him and his organisation Krishna Pran Breast Cancer Charitable Trust Ludhiana, August 15, 2018: Mr Sanjiv Arora, a leading industrialist of Ludhiana, has received State Award from Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh at a state-level function of Independence Day held here on Sunday, for the services rendered by him and his organisation Krishna Pran Breast Cancer Charitable Trust. He has been honoured for serving cancer patients and ensuring free of cost treatment to more than 100 cancer patients of poor families since 2005. Mr Sanjiv Arora has formed Krishna Pran Breast Cancer Charitable Trust in name of his parents who suffered and died due to cancer. Having seen his parents suffer from this disease although they had all the resources, this trust was formed to minimize the sufferings amongst the poor. It is mentioned here that this Trust was formed way back in 2005. Till date, more than 100 cancer patients have been treated free of cost under this trust. Many camps in Rural & Urban areas have also been held. At any given time, treatment of around 30 patients is regularly being taken care of. Most of these patients are treated in Dayanand Medical College & Hospital, Ludhiana. Also, a Website krishnabcc.com/index.html has been there to help society with knowledge on Cancer. Mr Sanjeev Arora is also on Governing Board of Dayanand Medical College & Hospital, Ludhiana and other Social organisations. Renowned Doctors such as Dr JS Sekhon, Dr Harsh Dua and Dr Gurpreet Brar have been involved in Trust in various roles. All these doctors are from Oncology.
