Ludhiana, February 15, 2013: City resident Preeti Kansal belonging to a business family is becoming a role model for the youngsters who want to achieve new milestones in their career without running for the jobs and also wish to serve the society.

After completing her studies she founded an NGO namely Aagaz Charitable Foundation in the years 2004.

Presently, she is the founder general secretary of the NGO concerned.

Over the period many women have joined the movement started by her.

In-fact, since her early age Preeti had been thinking of doing something for the society.

She said, “My basic nature is to help others”, and really, her nature forced her to work for the society instead of blindly running for a government or private job like majority of the youths.

’78 born Preeti did her degree in Bachelor in Arts from St. Bede’s College Shimla (Himachal Pardesh) in 2000. She also did Post Graduate Diploma in Human Rights from Indian Institute of Human Rights, New Delhi.

Replying to a question, she told that her parents never discouraged her to work for the society through an NGO. She told that rather, her parents were glad to learn that she had chosen to run an NGO as a “career”. She strongly believed that her family’s supportive approach led her to freely work for the society.

Preeti did not find any difficulty in doing the task. She said the experience so far was “good”.

Generally, people do not accept that a person can run livelihood by running an NGO. But, she has a different opinion.

Asked about her ambitions, she said she wanted to reach to the people whosoever needed help through. She believed that there were a lot of people in the society who were in need. She felt internal satisfaction by working for such people. Further, her work inspired others to follow the footsteps.
