Ludhiana, July 1, 2019: CICU has been organizing number of Seminars/Workshops for the benefits and up-gradation of the skills of the industry and trade sectors. The role of top management has become extremely critical now days. Therefore, CICU took initiative to organized One Day Training Program on Manufacturing Excellence through Metallurgy Advancements.
Sh. Upkar Singh Ahuja, President, CICU said that there is a dire need for the up-gradation of the industry in terms of Metallurgy advancements in Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises. For Global Competition, achieving Excellence in Manufacturing through Metallurgy has become very important and plays a vital role. He also said that participants will gain knowledge about Metallurgy Advancements used in Production / manufacturing, to pave the path towards various Metals used in the industry.
Sh. Pankaj Sharma, General Secretary, CICU said that the knowledge shared in the program will help the participants to reduce manufacturing cost i.e. scrap/rejection, rework & warranty claims, increase productivity, improve overall quality and resource utilization, reduce production lead time, compete in current market and improve customer satisfaction resulting in overall increasing of profitability.
The interactive and thought provoking sessions were conducted by Sh. N.K Khullar, who is B.E in (Metallurgical Engineering) from IIT, Roorkee with 45 years of experience in Automotive and Engineering industries like M/s Uniparts India Ltd., M/s ARB Bearing Ltd., M/s Sadhu Forgings Pvt. Ltd. and many other leading manufacturing industries.
He enlightened the participants about Basic principles of Ferrous Metals-Metallurgy, Heat treatment & processes, Eight Stages of setting the Product Price, Price sensitivity – what type of buyer my product has, Price and Costs, Dimensions of the quality of the product/service and its impact on the price, Breakeven Analysis, Price and Quality, introduction to the Product Pricing Strategies etc.
The program was attended by more than 20 participants like Quality Control Engineers, Mechanical/Plant/Maintenance Engineers and Other.
The program was highly appreciated by the participants.
