CICU Ludhiana on Monday organising an Industrial Interaction with M.S Dhillon, JDGFT & Facilitation Ceremony of S.C Ralhan.

Ludhiana, May 25, 2015: Industrial Interaction was held with Sh M.S Dhillon, Joint Director General of Foreign Trade, and Ludhiana with leading exporters of Industry late in the evening today at CICU Complex, Focal Point, Ludhiana.
Sh Dhillon said that new Foreign Trade Policy which was announced in April, 2015 has received mix response. Exporters have to grow on their own by creating good infrastructure rather than laying emphasis for getting 2-3 percent incentives. There is a need to increase efficiency in the system by exporting good quality products rather than pricing. Almost all the issues raised in the Memorandum pertain to EDI for which a committee has been formed by the Central Government for amicable settlement of procedural issues.
Sh. S.C. Ralhan one of the Founder Member & Patron of Chamber, who has been elected as  President, Federation of Indian Exports Organization (FIEO) in recognition of his great services  and contributions to the field of exports was honored by the Management of CICU. He laid emphasis on modernarizing industry and focusing on “Make in India”. He requested the exporters to send him representations for onwards taking up the issues with the Central Government for their amicable solutions.
Sh. Avtar Singh, President CIC & Sh. Upkar Singh Ahuja, General Secretary presented Memorandum to Sh. M.S. Dhillon, JDGFT highlighting Enhancing Export Incentives, Boosting Exports of Engineering Goods, Abolishing Fee of Rs. 1000 per Application Under Chapter 3 of FTP, Submission of Landing Certificates for Port to Port Shipment should be Dispensed With, Avoiding Delay in Uploading BRCs, Non Reflection of Shipping Bill & BRCs on DGFT Site, Unable to Claim FMS under Chapter 3 and Unused BRCs Show Status “Used”
Sh. Satyajit Thind, Professor, PCTE Ludhiana gave detailed representation on export potential especially of Ludhiana industry. Sh. Ashok Juneja Vice President CICU, Sh. Vinod Thapar, Chairman Knitwear Club (Regd.) also spoke on the occasion.
This program was attended by Chairmen and Presidents of various Industrial Associations and Prominent Exporters namely Mr Avtar Singh Bhogal, Mr Joga Singh, Mr Jaspal Singh Shahpuri, Mr S.B. Singh and others.
