Ludhiana, January 30, 2015: An Industrial Interaction was held at CICU Complex, Focal Point, Ludhiana with Vijay Kumar, Director MSME-DI, Ludhiana to resolve the issues being faced by Micro Small & Medium Enterprises.
Avtar Singh, President, CICU said that MSME Sector is facing adverse economic scenario. He presented Memorandum to Vijay Kumar highlighting Providing Common Exhibition Centre for Ludhiana Industry, Establishment of IP Facilitation Centre at CICU Complex for the Micro Small & Medium Enterprises of Punjab, Providing Incentives for Encouraging Establishment of Agro Food Processing Industry in Punjab, Providing Financial Assistance for Setting up Skill Development Centers at District Level in Punjab, Subsidising Rate of Interest for Financing of Hi Tech Machinery to be Imported from Japan & Taiwan, Revising Benefits/Subsidy Limits for Credit Linked Capital Subsidy Scheme (CLCSS) , Plugging Counterfeit Chinese Goods Being Routed to India through Neighboring Countries and Sanctioning Full Financial Benefits to MSMEs under International Cooperation Scheme without Imposing Lower Financial Limits.
Upkar Singh, General Secretary CICU said that after globalisation of markets and liberalization of economy MSME Sector is facing stiff competition. He presented memorandum to Sh. Vijay Kumar highlighting Revival of Vocational Training Provider (VTPs) under Skill Development Initiative Scheme, Opening of Facilitation Centre for Documentation Related Support for Implementation of Design Clinic Scheme at Ludhiana, Allocation of More Funds under Marketing Assistance Scheme to National Small Industries Corporation Ltd. for Holding Exhibitions, Providing Subsidy for Controlling Pollution, Revival of Scheme for Capacity Building, Strengthening of Database and Advocacy by Associations and for Holding Seminars/Symposiums/Workshops by the Associations, Removal of Clause Requiring Information Related to Other Members of Sector under MSECDP Scheme, Formulating Scheme for Providing Subsidy to Implement Low Cost Automations on Conventional Machines and A Freq Based Review System by MSME-DI with Industrial Associations to Assess the Status of Implementation of Various Schemes.
Vijay Kumar mentioned that Ludhiana industry, which plays very important role in the growth of industry in Punjab, is also a great revenue and employment generator and their Best Practices should be adopted by the other States for their rapid growth & development of MSME Sector.
The Director took note of the issues and assured to prepare formal document and submit to Ministry of Micro Small & Medium Enterprises for according approvals and providing amicable solutions. He also assured the Industrialists that their interests will be taken care of.
Bijender Kaushik and Anjan Kumar Baral from Guru Jambheshwar University given a detailed presentation on improvement in Packaging.
