CICU Organised Final Match of 4th CICU Corporate T-20 Cricket League-2017-18

Ludhiana, March 11, 2018: The final match of 4th CICU Corporate T-20 Cricket League-2017-18 was played today between M/ s Deepak Fasteners Ltd and M/s High Industries Ltd SCD at Govt.College. Ludhiana. After winning the Toss, M/s Deepak Fasteners Limited decided to Bat and scored 173 runs in 20 overs. Highways Industries ltd. also scored 173 in their 20 Overs. As the match was tied, Umpires decided to give super over to both teams. The match was full of excitement and more than 250 audience fully enjoyed all the overs played by both side teams. Deepak Fasteners Ltd managed to score only 8 runs in super over in response to Highway industries ltd who had scored 16 runs.

The best batsman award was given to Gurdeep Singh from Deepak Fasteners Ltd, Best bowler award to Atul Sharma from Highway industries ltd. The all-rounder award was given to Kamaljit Singh of Highway industries ltd.

Sh. Upkar Singh Ahuja, President, CICU welcomed all the dignitaries and encourage the both teams members. He said that the main objective of this tournament is to develop Team Spirit among staff members and ease out pressure of the work. He further said that both team played well with full excitement. He further said that the Chamber always organizing such activities like Cricket Tournament, Chess Competition, Kaizen competition for the industry of the Ludhiana. It will help to motivate their spirits for working in team and achieve their goals.

Sh. Pankaj Sharma, General Secretary, CICU emphasized that the both teams made full efforts to reach the final and both teams played well for their industry. He said that the match was very enjoyable and full of excitement right from the start to end. In 20 overs both teams scored well. He also congratulate the winning team. He further said that the Chamber always organizing such activities like Cricket Tournament, Chess Competition, Kaizen competition for the industry of the Ludhiana. It will help to motivate their spirits for working in team and achieve their goals.

Sh. Onkar Singh Pahwa, Director-cum-Managing Director, M/s Avon cycle Ltd presided the Function as Chief Guest and presented prizes to both winning and runner up teams. He congratulated the winning team and motivated the runner-up team to hard work and should try for next league.
