CICU holds meeting regarding PSPCL issues with PSPCL CE Paramjit Singh Dhaliwal

Ludhiana, July 27, 2018: Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU) Ludhiana held a meeting regarding PSPCL issues with PSPCL Chief Engineer Paramjit Singh Dhaliwal.

Upkar Singh Ahuja, President, CICU raised various issues regarding frequent Power cuts in Industrial areas especially Focal Points. He also said that the industry should be informed well in advance about maintenance of Transformers and Feeders as it will help them to plan their working. He also said that the PSPCL has lack of man power, which is main reason of not getting proper maintenance of the power. He further said that the CICU hired Harvinder Singh Retd. A.E. PSPCL at our CICU Gill Road Office from 03:00 pm to 05:00 pm for the issues relating to PSPCL.

CICU assured that the members will spend money to do Preventive maintenance of feeders and transformers etc.

Pankaj Sharma, General Secretary, CICU emphasized that some Power lines which are spread badly due to long routes should be streamlined as it will help to minimize the chances of breakdowns. He also said that the Industrialists are not receiving electricity bills on time due to which they face lot of harassment as PSPCL staff cuts their Connection due to nonpayment of Bill. The weekly off day which is still prevalent should be done away with and only Sundays should be made weekly off day. He also stressed the need to have a proper Plan to do preventive maintenance of all Feeders.

Paramjit Singh Dhaliwal, Chief Engg, PSPCL, assured that the PSPCL assured to the industrialists that the immediate steps has been taken for maintenance of the transformers. He also said that the systems of the PSPCL will be upgraded as soon as possible, so that the correct information of billing will provide to the industry. He further said that the tender of 60 crore has been approved for betterment of the systems and man power increased soon. Sh. Dhaliwal also said the advance information of breakdown will be given to the industrialists.

The meeting was attended by 80 members by some namely J.S Bhogal, Inderjit Singh Navyug, Pardeep Wadhawan, Ram Lubhaya, Avtar Singh Bhogal, O.P Bassi, Charnjit Singh, Vijay Aggrwal, Rahul Jain, Sanjeev Gupta, Anil Gupta, Rajeev Jain, A.K Rai, G.S Kahlon, Suman Kaplish, S.K Sayal, Rajeev Gupta, Ajmer Singh Chahal and other prominent members of the Chamber.
