CICU Conducts Seminar on Performance Reviews

Ludhiana, February 3, 2016: Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings (CICU) conducted Seminar on Performance Reviews at CICU Complex, Focal Point, Ludhiana, today.  

Sh.Avtar Singh President CICU said that Performance Review is an analysis and discussion of an employee's performance of assigned duties and responsibilities. The appraisal is based on results obtained by the employee in his/her job, not on the employee's personality characteristics. The review measures skills and accomplishments with reasonable accuracy and uniformity. It provides a way to help identify areas for performance enhancement and to help promote professional growth

Sh. Upkar Singh Ahuja, General Secretary CICU said that this program will help the participants to gain a better understanding of each employee's abilities, recognize achievement, to evaluate job progress & then to design training for the further development of skills and strengths, stimulate employee's interest and improve job performance and retain & develop talent critical to the ongoing success of organization.

The interactive & thought-provoking program was conducted by Capt S Jolly, an ex-armed forces person having immense experience in corporate training delivery. The program covered topics namely understanding the elements of an effective appraisal system, review of the performance parameters and diagnose performance issues, planning for the feedback session, skills required for effective appraisal discussion, develop and agree action plans for improvement & construct new goals and gain commitment.

More than 40 participants comprising proprietors, partners, managing directors, chief executive officers, general managers and HRD heads representing various industries attended this program and significant strategies emanated for enhancing efficiency and strengthening execution capabilities in organizations. The participants attained extensive knowledge on the subject and its implementation will definitely benefit industry.
