Shimla, April 9, 2017: Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh presided over the 16th Annual General Meeting of Chureshwar Sewa Smiti Churdhar at Nahan, today. He said that Himachal Pradesh has been an important centre of pilgrimage where lakhs of people visit Shaktipeeths and other religious place round the year.

He said the state government was committed to provide best facilities at all places of worship so that pilgrims could easily reach these places. He said Churdhar will be developed as a model pilgrim centre equipped with all basic amenities.

He said Churdhar has been an important place of worship for people of Himachal Pradesh and Uttrakhand who come here to worship Devta Shirgul Maharaj. He said the connectivity to Churdhar will be provided from both the present tracks so that the people visiting the temple from either side could easily reach the temple.

He said that basic infrastructure at important pilgrim centres will be improved on priority basis. He lauded the efforts of Chureshwar Sewa Smiti Churdhar for providing food, shelter and other facilities to the pilgrims visiting this place.

Advisor Chureshwar Sewa Smiti, N.C. Chauhan while welcoming the Chief Minister listed the efforts of Chureshwar Smiti. He said Smiti will take cleanliness drive on the way to Churdhar and also create awareness on environmental issues.

Chief Parliamentary Secretary Vinay Kumar, Chairman HIMFED Ajay Bahadur Singh, Vice Chairman Employment Generation & Resource Mobilization Harshvardhan Singh Chauhan, DCC President Ajay Solanki were present on the occasion.
