Christmas Celebration at Fortis Hospital Ludhiana

Ludhiana, December 24, 2016: Christmas is not a time nor a season, but a blessed experience. To cherish peace and goodwill, to be plenteous in mercy and to re-dedicate our own lives. Fortis Hospital Ludhiana celebrated Christmas. The programme began with a welcome speech by Mr.Vivan Singh Gill, Director, Fortis Hospital Ludhiana, after which all the dignitaries, guests, doctors, staff and patients joined the Carol choir to sing the congregational hymn. Cake cutting ceremony was also done by patients and staff members.

The opening prayer and the Christmas message was given by Pastor. Sumesh and team. The whole gathering was then enlightened with the message from Mr. Gill. He wished that the Christmas spirit fill hearts with warmth, peace and joy! And to have a merry Christmas and a happy New Year. The soulful and pleasant carols by team mesmerised all.

Continuing with the Christmas merriment Nursing staff presented the Christmas play “The Wonderful Star” which showed God’s love for mankind by sending His only begotten Son for our salvation and this love has to be reflected in all of us and then came the most awaited moment i.e. “Arrival of Santa” who had a merry time with the gathering and distributed gifts among staff and patients. At the end all enjoyed the fellowship & relished the snacks together as a family in the beautifully decorated Fortis Hospital Ludhiana.

Painting competition was also organised for children under Mental Health Department under the supervision of Dr. Ajay Pal Sandhu and his assistant Dr. Palak. Gift was also given to participants.

The whole activity was conducted by Ms. Amarjeet from Marketing and Mr. Shrikant from Human Resources, also present on the occasion were Dr. J.S Sekhon, Dr. Harish Matta, Dr. Rajat Bhatia, Dr. Ashwani Singal, Dr. Poonam Rastogi, Dr. Nitin Sethi, Dr. Vishnu Gupta, Dr. Pankaj Sihag, Dr. Ashish Jindal.
