Christmas celebration, 2019

Ludhiana: Christmas means remembering the birth of our Saviour Jesus Christ to show love, gratitude & make people happy.  It is all about the joy of brightening others lives, bearing each other’s burdens & supplanting empty hearts and lives with generous gifts of love and peace.  Every year this sacred day is observed with religious zeal and sincere prayers in the premises of College of Nursing, Christian Medical College & Hospital, Ludhiana.  This year it was celebrated on December 19, 2019.

Dr. Reena Jairus, Professor & Principal, College of Nursing welcomed the dignitaries, guests, faculty & students. College choir worshiped the Lord with traditional and modern Christmas carols. The Christmas message was given by           Rev. Alex Peter from Fellowship Department.  The whole gathering was then enlightened with the message from the Director, Dr. William Bhatti. He gave an inspiring Christmas message which reminded us the love and peace brought to earth by Jesus Christ. He wished the faculty, staff and students a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

The soulful and pleasant carols by students mesmerized all and filled the air with joy. Continuing with the Christmas merriment students performed choreography on the theme “Movement in Christ” which depicted that Jesus Christ had given his life to heal the people not only physically but mentally and spiritually also. He saved the lives of human being with His preaching. It showed the significance of Christ’s death and sacrifice reminding us that His birth is not just sharing gifts and parties, rather it is a moment where we inculcate a feeling of love, care and affection for others.

The most awaited moment was “Arrival of Santa” who had a merry time with the gathering and distributed gifts among students. At the end all enjoyed the fellowship and relished the Christmas Lunch together as a family in beautifully decorated and illuminated College of Nursing.
