Christmas celebrated with charm and enthusiasm
Several performances such as Carroll singing, story-telling and dance etc were presented Chandigarh: Christmas was celebrated with charm and enthusiasm on 20th December 2019 in the Neerja Bhanot Hall, Girls Hostel No. 10, Panjab University, Chandigarh. The hostel compound was lit with beautiful lights and christmas decorations. On this occasion one of the residents became Santa Claus to give a warm welcome to the guests, girl's hostel wardens, residents and staff. Prof. Emanuel Nahar, DSW (M) and Prof. Neena Capalash, DSW (W) were the chief guests on this occasion. They gave their good wishes and blessings to the residents. Warden Dr. Archana Chauhan said that the event is organized not only to celebrate Christmas but also to happily end the semester as most of the residents will be going home for winter vacations. She further highlighted that the event is a showcase of the creativity and inherent talent of the residents as all the decorations were handcrafted by them with support of all the staff members of the hostel. Several performances such as Carroll singing, story-telling and dance etc were presented by the residents. This was followed by cake cutting ceremony. Candies were distributed by the Santa Claus, a resident of the hostel, to everyone.
