Chandigarh, December 14, 2014: The extravaganza commenced with a prayer dance and lighting of the eternal lamp. The Junior Wing stole the show with their mesmerizing Disney Parade. The audience was enthralled led to see the little ones performing with zeal in the parade dressed as various characters from the dream world of Walt Disney.

An impressive show – A theatrical performance of Shakespeare’s play- The Merchant of Venice was showcased with choreographed dances from Morocco, Spain and Poland on melodious songs as per the demand of the Play.

Speaking at the event, the chief guest of show Assistant Media Advisor, Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Govt of Punjab Vineet Joshi appreciated efforts of The British School in teaching children in a unique manner. He added that the children are our greatest asset and The British School is carrying on with a wonderful job mentoring children for a brilliant future.

Guest of honor at the event Rinku Kalia, the winner of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa singing reality show presented a prayer song “Sai Mere Sai Pyar Ki Vaani Meethey” as the school’s prayer song.

She said that by participating in such programmes students get an opportunity to discover their hidden talents and this goes a long way is building their person.

Principal Mona Sethi thanked the parents for keeping faith and encouraging the School with their continual support. She said that the students gave a promising performance during the event, which gave them an opportunity to discover their talents.
