Lucknow, March 30, 2017: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Yogi Adityanath has expressed sadness over the train mishap in Mahoba district and has directed officials to ensure proper and prompt treatment for the injured. He also announced financial assistance of Rs.50-50 thousand each to those seriously injured and Rs.25-25 thousand each for those with minor injuries.
As soon as the news of the rail accident reached the Chief Minister, he directed Health Minister Mr. Siddharthanath Singh to rush to the accident site to oversee rescue and relief operations. Mr. Singh has since reached the site. Principal Secretary Medical & Health Mr.Arun Kumar Sinha has also been directed to accompany the minister and ensure prompt and proper treatment of the injured.
He is also camping at the accident site.
While the union railway ministry would get the accident probed, the chief minister, specially in view of similar suspected rail accidents in the past, has directed the principal secretary (home) and the DGP to ascertain the reasons behind the accident and brief him thereafter.
The Chief Minister has also expressed hope that these two officials would also ensure that injured are given the best treatment and relief operations are undertaken properly.
