Chandigarh Administration approves Excise Policy for FY2017-18

Chandigarh, March 30, 2017: Chandigarh Administration has approved the Excise Policy for the financial year 2017-18 (commencing from 07.04.2017 to 31.03.2018). With regard to the allotment of retail sale liquor licenses (L-2/L-14A), it is mentioned that there will be in total 77 Licensing Unit of retail sale liquor licenses across the entire city. The total quota of IMFL will be 74.25 lac proof liters and for country liquor, it will be 8.25 lac proof liters, and for IMFL and country liquor, it will be 82.50 lac proof liters. The total reserve price for all these groups is 202.55 crores. There will be marginal increase in extra license fee of Indian Made Foreign Liquor, Imported Foreign Liquor and Country Liquor alongwith increase in license fee of various liquor licenses. To encourage the low
alcoholic beverages, no changes have been made.
