CGC Jhanjeri students win PTU’s best physique competition

Mohali, November 2, 2019: Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri excelled in PTU’s Inter College Weight Lifting, Power Lifting & Best Physique Tournament 2019-20. Shivam Yadav & Yawar Nazir won Gold Medal in 80 Kg weight category & 65 Kg weight category respectively. Nawal won second position in 60 Kg weight category, Anany Angral won second position in 75 Kg weight category, Karanpreet Singh also won second position in 85 Kg weight category .Rohit Singh won third position in 75 kg Weight category. Ritesh Sharma won third position in 85 Kg weight category. In Power Lifting Anany Angral won second position in 74 Kg weight category by lifting a total weight of 482 Kg, Ritesh sharma won third position in 74 Kg weight category by lifting a weight of 427 Kg and Nayak linkan won third position in 66kg weight category by lifting weight of 387kg. Students won as many as 2 Gold, 3 Silver and 2 Bronze medals & Over all best physique 2019 -20 title was also won Yawar Nazer of CGC Jhanjeri. Students of Jhanjeri also won silver medal in PTU Zonal Youth Festival in Bhangra & Inter College Lawn tennis Tournament boys & girls. Jamil Khan was declared the best dancer of Zonal Youth Festival. In girls Shikha Sharma and Resu & In boys Gurpreet Singh and Sarthak Gupta are selected to participate in Inter University Tournament 2019-2020.
