Ludhiana, March 3, 2019: It was a phenomenal weekend as the CFOSE 2019 concluded on Sunday, March 3. CFOSE is one of the biggest exhibition for cycles held in the country. this year as well the cycle expo out there itself with more than 50000 people visiting the exhibition over the weekend. Visitors witnessed the grand display of variety and latest technology at the three day exhibition that was held at Punjab Agricultural University over the last three days. The Avon CycloGreen 2019 was also organized on Saturday where more than two thousand people participated. 9th Edition of Cycle, Fitness & Outdoor Sports Expo (CFOSE) turned out to be exactly what it says. all imaginable categories under cycles fitness and outdoor sports equipments were to be seen at the expo. This year there was special emphasis on electric vehicles that would bring down carbon emissions. Although this exhibition was a B2B event a lot of local Ludhianvis make the most of the extravagant display by taking up the opportunity and buying the cycles and other recruitment that they wanted right from the stalls. This year it was noted that Indian manufacturers put a lot of stress on safety features in their lifestyle products. up until recently not a lot of stress was put on safety features in any kind of vehicle let alone cycles. Tejinder Singh Bigben won the award for Best Excellence. Surinder Brar, Organizer & Director, Annex Media Marketing Network Pvt Ltd said, "People from all over the country and even abroad have participated in this exhibition. It is especially great to see that the people of Ludhiana take so much interest in the cycle industry. This is one industry this that affects their lives directly in a very significant way. It is also a great boost to the cycle industry in Ludhiana as they have been able to display their products alongside some of the best products manufactured in the world." Nalin Mahajan of Hippo Cycles said, "The exposure that we have got at this exhibition is great. Being part of this exhibition is an excellent way to reach out to the people and explain the purpose behind your hard work. We sincerely encourage the youth to become active cycle riders which would help maintain the health and also the environment." There was some special displays at the exhibition like innovative patents by Taiwan based manufacturer Neco. They were recently awarded patents in manual safety pedals, handle parking lock, inside wire, light mobile charger and a music hub. Day-2 Report (March 2, 2019) The second day of the Cycle, Fitness & Outdoor Sports Expo (CFOSE) brought in huge crowds as the weekend ensured that fitness freaks and cycling enthusiasts thronged the expo. A lot of curious onlookers took stock of the various products that were on display in the various stalls. There was a football of more than 10000 people on the second day of the expo. The various products on display pulled adults and children alike. From cycles to cycling equipment to fitness equipment, there is everything that you could ever ask for. The children were especially curious about the sports items that were on display. There are a significant amount of companies that are displaying electric vehicles and batteries and other products that enable the use of alternative energy to run vehicles. turning towards electric vehicles and the like could be a great way to reduce the carbon footprint which would be very good for the environment. Akash Kaushik, CEO Euclion Energy said, "The market is very ripe for alternative fuel since we all know that fossil fuels have a negative impact on the economy and also the environment. E-cycles and e-rickshaws have become very popular among those who use these modes of transport. This is why it is important to have alternate sources of fuel so that we do not put undue pressure on existing fossil fuels and the economy as well as the environment." Mr Utkarsh of E-rickshaws Mohindra echoed the same sentiment. "We want to encourage people to use electric vehicles so that there is less consumption of petrol, diesel and other fuels so that there are less carbon emissions which in turn is very good for the environment." We encourage health and fitness through playing of sports which is why we have an exhaustive display of sports items like plastic bats, balls, shin guards, poles, hurdles, abdominal guards, et cetera." KK Seth of Neelam Cycles said, "We a very happy to see that so many people have shown interest in this cycle expo. We all know that cycling has its benefits that affect the environment and health. The people of Ludhiana are certainly taking an interest in cycling which is very good for their health and the City in general." Day 1 Report (March 1, 2019) The much awaited 9th Edition of Cycle, Fitness & Outdoor Sports Expo (CFOSE) kicked off at Punjab Agricultural University Ludhiana on Friday, March 1, 2019. Ludhiana is one of the biggest manufacturers of cycles in India and contributes to a lot of exports. The three-day expo is being held to give a boost to the cycle industry of Ludhiana. The chief guest on the first day of the expo was Vijay Sampla, Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment in India. This exhibition is one of a kind with a single roof structure and is also one of the largest events held in the cycle industry in the country. Like always, CFOSE proved to be a wonderful opportunity for traders and manufacturers of cycles to display the latest technology in cycles. Spread over 300,000 SqFt area, about 170 exhibitors from all over India and 30 international exhibitors showcased their cycling goods at CFOSE. Some of the biggest competition of the domestic manufacturers China, Taiwan, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, France, Holland, and even some European countries exhibited their wares at the expo. Around 15,000 people visited the expo on the opening day. Firoza Suresh, Bicycle Mayor of Mumbai and Founder of Smart Commute Foundation who was a special guest at the inauguration of the even said, "I am so glad to see that the cycling industry is making efforts to upgrade and promote cycling. What is important is that when it comes to the cycling industry we see that the government is serious, the manufacturers are serious and even the global market is serious. However, this cannot be a one-sided effort only. Take, for example, the infrastructure. It should support the safety of cyclists. When town planning is taking place, planners should ensure that there is sufficient consideration for pedestrians and cyclists." Sanjeev Pahwa of Ralson Cycles said, "The expo is certainly a great platform to ensure that the local and domestic cycle industry does get the exposure that it deserves. It is so wonderful to see so many people turn up to witness and be a part of the event." Various products were on display for participants to witness like cycles, cycle parts, Gym and fitness equipment, E-bikes, E-rickshaws, and toys. International visitors are expected to throng the Expo from Africa, Bangladesh, Nepal, Europe, and Canada.
