Dharamshala, October 21, 2017: The Former Minister & BJP candidate from Jawalamukhi Mr Ramesh Dwala said, “If come into power our government will set up Central University in Dehra near Jawalamukhi on priority bases, the work on which was sidelined by the Congress government of the state .” He said that the land for the project was identified and okay by previous BJP government of the state, but the present Virbhadra-led government didn’t even bothered to transfer the land to University, that’s why the 9 years old project in still in doldrums.
Talking to media before filing nomination in Jawalamukhi, Dhwala said that the money which was sent by BJP led Central Government to the state for the repair of roads in Himachal was entirely spent on foundation stone lying ceremonies by Virbhadra government. Dhwala said ,” people of the state know that only BJP government can bring development in the state and the public of the state is eagerly waiting for November 9 to cast their vote for total removal of Congress government.”
Three times former MLA from Jawalamukhi and BJP minister Ramesh Dhawala became a household name as he held the balance of power after 1998 (then Independent MLA) assembly election in Himachal. As the state witnessed a hung assembly, he supported the Congress party to form its government initially but eventually sided with the BJP at the behest of his political guru Shanta Kumar, thus paving the way for Prem Kumar Dhumal led BJP-HVC coalition government in the state.
