Amritsar, September 11, 2012: Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today charged that Congress led UPA government was deliberately delaying the elections of General House of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee fearing the total decimation of Congress backed Sarna duo.

Talking to media persons here today after paying obeisance at Golden Temple, Badal said that media everyday is bringing out multi-crore scandals of Sarna brothers, who are looting the exchequer of DSGMC but Congress Government in the Center by delaying the elections to this Gurdwara Management body of Capital of India was giving them extended opportunity to mint money without any electoral authorisation. He said that it was sad chapter in the history of DSGMC that Union Home Ministry was directly interfering in the religious affairs of Sikhs and Shiromani Akali Dal would expose the nefarious designs of Congress led UPA Government.

Badal said that elections to DSGMC should always be held on schedule and no one should be allowed to continue in office after the expiry of their term.

When asked about the dissention in Amritsar Congress on the eve of visit of Captain Amarinder Singh to Majitha, Badal said that even Congress workers have realised that Captain Amarinder Singh has no issue against the SAD-BJP Government and he was befooling them with protest dharnas.

Adding, he said that every child in Punjab was aware of the fact that it was due to the pressure of Union Urban Development Ministry that they were force to levy property tax on the people and no dharna can change the real picture. He said that let Captain organise dharna against Union Government or against proposed hike in the petrol, diesel and LPG and let him show his guts to stage dharna before 10 Janpath.

He said that he would not dare to do this as he was already on ventilator provided by Sonia Gandhi.

Badal said that Congress was no challenge to SAD-BJP government as it would die its own death due to internal dissention.

When asked about sugar prices, Badal said that SAD-BJP government has fulfilled its promise by lowering the VAT on Sugar and now it was imperative for the traders to bring down prices.

Earlier, Badal accompanied by Bathinda Member Parliament Harsimrat Kaur Badal, Animal Husbandry Minister Gulzar Singh Ranike and Chairman District Planning Committee Veer Singh Lopoke paid obeisance at Golden Temple.
