Seema Jain, Director, Census Operations, Punjab and Joint Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India being conferred 'Census-2011 Silver Medal' by Pranab Mukherjee, President of India at award giving ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.

Chandigarh, January 15, 2013: Seema Jain, Director, Census Operations, Punjab and Joint Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India has been conferred 'Census-2011 Silver Medal' by Pranab Mukherjee, President of India at award giving ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.

According to the official spokesperson of the state government, Jain has been awarded for her outstanding zeal and high quality of service rendered by her during census of India-2011. It is pertinent to mention here that The Census Directorate, Punjab has successfully and timely accomplished the both phases of Census Operations in the state.
