CBI seizes fake currency notes worth Rs. 3.99 lakh, two persons arrested

New Delhi/Jalandhar, August 8, 2013:The Central Bureau of Investigation has today arrested two persons of District - Bijanour & Moradabad (U.P) for allegedly smuggling and trafficking of Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) worth Rs.3,99,000 at Lucknow Railway Station. The seized FICNs are in the denomination of Rs.1000 and Rs. 500.

A case has been registered U/s 120-B r/w Section 489-B, 489-C of IPC.

The arrested accused are being produced today in the Designated Court at Lucknow (U.P).
