New Delhi, August 27, 2014: The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested an Accountant working in the office of Cantonment Executive Officer, Garhi Cantt., Dehradun (Uttarakhand) for demanding & accepting a bribe of Rs. 5000 from the complainant.
A case was registered on the complaint alleging that the Accountant working in the office of Cantonment Executive Officer, Garhi Cantt., Dehradun (Uttarakhand) was demanding a bribe of Rs. 20,000 for processing the retirement file of his father who retired from Cantonment Board on June 30, 2014. CBI laid a trap and the accused was caught while demanding & accepting a bribe of Rs.5000 from the Complainant. Searches were conducted at the premises of accused.
The arrested accused was produced in the Designated Court at Dehradune and remanded to Judicial Custody.
