CATC-B1 conducted by 3Pb BN NCC, Ludhiana at GNDEC

Ludhiana, June 12, 2018: Combined Annual Training camp (CATC-B1) was conducted by 3Pb BN NCC, Ludhiana in the Premises of Guru Nanak Dev Engg College, Ludhiana from June 4, 2018 to June 13, 2018. During these ten days, various activities were conducted such as Inter Batallion shooting competition, Awareness Rallies, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. The Camp was conducted under the supervision of Col. Harsimranjit Singh, SM, CO 3Pb BN NCC, Ldh and Principal Dr. Sehijpal Singh GNDEC, Ldh on 12-06-2018, prizes were distributed to different cadets for performing well in different categories during the camp.
In the shooting competition, NCC cadets both boys and girls from all over Punjab participated in the competition. The prize distribution function of the shooting competition was presided over by Dr.H.S.Rai, Officiating Principal, Col.Harmanjeet Singh, Sena Medal CO 3PB BN NCC, Ludhiana, Col.J.S. Bali 3PB BN NCC, Col Arvind Rishi Admn Officer, Sub major Jagmohan Singh and Major Harvinder Singh. Brig. Narender Kumar, Commander NCC Group HQ, Ludhiana in his message applauded the efforts of cadets. Dr. Rai said that NCC was a model for discipline and every student should be made to go through NCC training compulsory. Cadet Arshdeep Kaur won the best cadet award which carried a cash prize of Rs.3500/-. Team comprising of cadets from 3PB battalion was adjudged the best shooting team.
The awareness rallies included themes such as drug de-addiction. In the Swacchta campaign the cadets carried out cleanliness drive inside the college and around the college periphery.
While applauding the efforts of Major Harvinder Singh and the NCC cadets, Dr. Sehijpal Singh thanked members of 3Punjab Battalion for organizing the camp efficiently.
